Bookings

Bookings are in ten (10) minute increments; minimum bookings are one hour.

All ice bookings include a ten (10) minute ice sweep time at the end of the time booked. In a one hour booking for example, all skaters must clear the ice at the 50 minute interval in order for the ice to be swept.

Booking on statutory holidays will be a minimum of four consecutive hours unless otherwise negotiated by the manager.

The Laconia Ice Arena will be closed on Christmas Day, Facilities will operate under limited hours on all other statutory holidays.

Users are required to pay their ice rentals prior to ice rental.
Cancellation of Ice Time must be done by the 10th day of the prior month in which they occur – for example, September 10th for October ice slots. These requests must be received via email to ice@laconiaicearena.com and a read receipt should be requested. Confirmation of said requests will be confirmed by the rink manager by the 15th. If confirmation is not received, it is the obligation of the renting party to follow up and assure that the ice time has been returned to the general pool. Failure to do so will mean that the ice slots are still billable.

General Procedures

All users must stay off the ice, with gates closed, until the ice resurfacing equipment is off the ice and the doors are shut.

The Laconia Ice Arena is a tobacco and smoke free facility. The use of any tobacco product including cigars, cigarettes and chewing tobacco within the arena is strictly prohibited. Any infraction will result in a suspension or forfeit of ice privileges within the facility.

Drinking of alcoholic beverages is not permitted within the facility. If found to be in violation, user privileges may be denied and appropriate legal action for any minor violating this policy will be taken.

Users must vacate the dressing rooms within ½ hour of using the ice. Cleaning staff must be permitted suitable time for clean up for the next user group.

All facilities shall be left in an acceptable condition or extra charges for damages or excessive clean up shall be applied. This includes, but is not limited to, chewing tobacco, sunflower seeds, etc. Arena staff is responsible for the operation and general supervision of the facilities and shall enforce all rules and regulations.

First offence: $100.00;

Second offence: $200.00;

Every subsequent offence thereafter, the amount is doubled.

Violations of the rules and regulations, by any users (participants, groups, spectators) could result in suspension from future use of the arenas with damages, if any, being assessed to them. An adult must actively supervise all underage participants at all times (coach, teacher and parent).

Anyone actively participating in hockey activities MUST wear a helmet. In addition, it is strongly recommended that full hockey equipment be worn.

Unless acting as an instructor, all players eighteen (18) years and under REQUIRE full equipment. The suggested minimum is:
